Where the ladder hands over to the team

Vaquitas and Seals are the last two rungs of the learn-to-swim ladder, and they exist to hand a swimmer over to the team ready. By the time a child gets there, the strokes are legal and the turns are honest. What changes on the team is the volume, the clock and the calendar.

Bravo trains at two pools with full-length lanes: Florida International University in North Miami, and the Miramar Aquatic Complex.

What you get

What comes with every session

Officially sanctioned

Bravo Swimming is USA Swimming registered, which is what makes the times count and the meets available.

A season that runs all year

Practices run year round rather than in terms, alongside a seasonal lesson program for swimmers still coming up.

Full-length water

Bravo trains at FIU in North Miami and at the Miramar Aquatic Complex, both with full-length lanes for race distances.

A route in from our own pool

Around 90% of our regular swimmers reach team entry level. Vaquitas and Seals are the two levels that get them there.

What is the difference between Miami Swimming Academy and Bravo Swimming?

Bravo trains year round at FIU in North Miami and at the Miramar Aquatic Complex.

How does my child join the swim team?

Through Vaquitas and Seals, the last two levels of the ladder, which exist to hand a swimmer over to the team ready. By the academy’s own estimate, around 90% of our regular swimmers reach team entry level. Swimmers join after a conversation with us, so tell us their age and their best times, if they have any.

What meets does the swim team compete in?
